As a supplement to other bodywork, targeted, therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises can be incorporated into a session.
Influenced by the teachings of innovative practitioners, such as Stuart McGill and Craig Liebenson, Katie blends key philosophies for practical healing.
In addition to treating the soft-tissue with massage therapy, rehab exercises can be added in order to strengthen weak areas and correct any imbalances in movement. Stretches can also be introduced to prolong the effects from the massage session. Special attention is paid to using correct form in exercises and even activities of daily living that may be contributing to an injury. Katie’s goal is to give her clients tools to help them stay out of pain and move more efficiently in their everyday lives.
